Meet Allison
Allison is a passionate dietitian with a diverse background in nutrition and dietetics. She began her career at the Northport VA Hospital, where she worked in acute care and psychiatric units, leading nutrition education and cooking classes for veterans. She later expanded her expertise as a community dietitian, conducting cooking demos, nutrition workshops, and individual counseling. Allison specializes in weight management, cardiovascular health, diabetes, gut health, and chronic illness prevention. Her empathetic counseling style focuses on sustainable, holistic changes. Outside of work, she enjoys outdoor adventures, cooking, and spending time with her family.
My Story
Allison earned her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Queens College and
completed her dietetic internship at Stony Brook University. She began her career at the
Northport VA Hospital, where she worked in acute care and psychiatric units, leading nutrition
education groups and healthy cooking classes for veterans.
Allison later worked as a community dietitian at ShopRite, where she led cooking demos,
nutrition workshops, and individual counseling. She also taught nutrition classes at local
elementary schools, developed recipes, and organized wellness programs for employees.
After having children, Allison continued to pursue her passion for nutrition, expanding her
knowledge while balancing family life.

gastrointestinal disease, gut health and chronic illness prevention.
Counseling Style
Her counseling style is akin to having a conversation with a caring friend, offering an
individualized, empathetic approach. Allison walks the journey alongside her clients at their own
pace, using an evidence-based, holistic approach that emphasizes sustainable changes. She
believes in addressing the root cause of health issues by looking at how the whole body is
interconnected, including factors such as stress, sleep, movement, gut health, environmental
influences, relationships, self-care, and time spent outdoors.
Hobbies/Interest
Outside of work, Allison enjoys living a balanced lifestyle, spending her free time with her
husband and two children. Her family loves outdoor adventures and exploring new activities
together. She also enjoys visiting family along the East Coast, cooking, and baking. In her
downtime, she also enjoys reading, listening to music, and diving into podcasts.
Allison's personal experiences with her own health and her children's have fueled her passion
for fertility health, prenatal/postpartum nutrition, hormone imbalances, PANS/PANDAS, pediatric
gastrointestinal disorders, and autoimmune diseases. She is committed to continually expanding
her knowledge in these areas to better help assist you along your health journey.
