Meet Daniela


You’ll find that talking to Daniela is like talking to a friend; she is friendly, welcoming and an energetic person who is passionate about helping her clients reach their health goals. She prioritizes making personal connections with each of her clients to provide the most valuable recommendations. Working with Daniela is like having a supportive cheerleader by your side who is there to listen, understand, educate, and motivate you on your nutrition journey.


My Story

Daniela has 6 years of experience in the world of nutrition as a Registered Dietitian. She completed her B.S of Nutrition and Dietetics at Long Island University. Shortly after, she completed her Dietetic Internship at Stony Brook University which includes 1200 of ACEND-accredited supervised practice in clinical, community, and food service nutrition. For the first 4 years as an RD, Daniela gained experience in medical nutrition therapy while treating an array of health conditions at a local hospital. She has been providing individual nutrition counseling for several years now and has a talent for empowering her clients to make permanent behavioral changes by giving her clients nutrition recommendations that are digestible, effective and realistic.




Weight management (weight loss/maintenance/gain), Diabetes, Cardiovascular Health, Sports Nutrition, Bariatric surgery (pre and post care), disordered and emotional eating, vegan/vegetarian diets


Counseling Style

Daniela understands that nutrition is not “one size fits all.” She takes an empathetic approach to meet clients where they are in their health journey, incorporating evidence-based nutrition along with mindful eating principles to meet her client’s unique needs. She believes that nutrition is only one piece of your health, therefore she takes a holistic approach, by addressing all factors that influence your health (ie: sleep, relationship with food, stress management, hydration, digestion, movement, supplements, etc). Rather than short-term solutions and crash diets, Daniela believes in incorporating sustainable lifestyle changes to achieve optimal health. Daniela is here to provide you with accountability and guidance on your way to achieving your goals with a plan customized to your specific needs and lifestyle. 


Daniela enjoys maintaining a healthy and active lifestyle. When she is not in sessions with her clients, you can find her spending quality time with her friends, family or rescue dog Milo. She loves to spend time in nature (preferably in the sun!), workout on a regular basis, and go to concerts. Inspired by her Colombian roots, Daniela also loves to incorporate different cultural flavors into her cooking and loves trying new foods!
