Meet Steven

Steve offers strong active listening skills and knowledge to understand what his clients are struggling with, and offer the best approach to help them be successful. Steve strives to motivate his clients to be the best versions of themselves though education and step-by-step progression. Steve is here to support you and motivate you to make positive changes to reach your personal goals. 

My Story

Steve has 5 years experience as a Registered Dietitian. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at West Chester University of Pennsylvania. He then moved out to California where he completed his 1,200-hour internship and Master of Science degree in Human Nutrition at California State University of Northridge. During his internship he was fortunate to complete his clinical rotation at UCLA Ronald Reagan and community rotation at the Los Angeles VA Medical Center. After his internship be began working in the clinical setting during Covid for 2 years, before returning home to Long Island with his wife and 2 cats. Steve continues to work in the clinical setting, as well as the outpatient setting to impact as many individuals in the community he is able to. 

 

Specialties

 

Steve’s clinical background makes him a strong educator on various diseases and conditionals like diabetes, congestive heart failure, chronic kidney disease, gastrointestinal conditions, and much more.  His experience working in the outpatient setting has trained him working with clients to aid in weight loss, muscle gain, and fueling/recovering from workouts or sports. Steve strongly believes how the foods/drinks that put into our body plays a strong impact on how we manage our diseases, conditions, and personal goals. 

 

Counseling Style

 

Steve wants to work with you to empower you to strive towards goals that you were unable to complete on your own. He will listen to you, and create a realistic plan to make strives towards bettering your overall health. After meeting with Steve, he will develop a plan for you to start making small changes week-by-week to progress you on your journey. Steve will review all aspects that go into living a healthier lifestyle with you, and make recommendations for improvements where needed.  

 

Hobbies/Interests

 

Steve enjoys staying physically active in his spare time. Whether it is be beach volleyball in the summer, softball in the fall and spring, and golf or tennis year round, he strives to play sports that he enjoys, while getting in additional movement. Steve participates in consistent strength training and cardio exercises to keep his body in optimal health. Steve is also quite the chef and loves to share his recipes with his clients and social media. He loves hosting dinner parties or will be the one who brings the best appetizer or side dish to a gathering.
