Meet Sophia
Sophie, from Stoneham, MA, is a Clinical Dietitian at Stony Brook University Hospital, specializing in NICU/pediatric and adult general medicine units while pursuing her Master’s in Nutrition. She takes a holistic and individualized approach to counseling, focusing on setting attainable goals and considering factors like sleep, hydration, and exercise to support lifelong wellness. Passionate about fitness and sports nutrition, Sophie enjoys running, cooking, and exploring new restaurants with her fiancé.
My Story
Sophie is from Stoneham, MA which is right outside of Boston. She completed her Bachelor’s in Nutrition and Dietetics at the University of New Hampshire and completed her dietetic internship at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2023. She is currently working towards completing her Master’s in Nutrition through Stony Brook University and works as a Clinical Dietitian at the Stony Brook University Hospital. She works on NICU/pediatric units as well as adult general medicine units, which has strengthened her knowledge on a variety of nutrition-related conditions. She was a dancer through her childhood and her time at college and has a passion for sports nutrition and fitness.
Counseling style:
Sophie feels it is important to meet an individual where they are at in their health journey and help to set and reach small, attainable goals that will help build healthy, lifelong habits. She feels it is important to take all factors of an individual’s life, including sleep, hydration, exercise, ect., into account to help reach their wellness goals.
Hobbies/interests:
Sophie loves to exercise and is an avid runner, currently training for her next half marathon. She also love to cook and eat out at new restaurants with her fiancé.
