My Story
Caitlin Alfano, M.S, RD, CDN, NASM-CPT, AFAA- GFI is a Registered Dietitian who earned her first Bachelors of Science in Exercise Science from Hofstra University. Followed by her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Masters of Science in Clinical Nutrition from Long Island University. Caitlin completed her dietetic internship at various sites including private counseling and sports nutrition at Long Island University, community and clinical settings with Mercy Hospital, Fresenius, and various nursing homes on Long Island. More recently, she gained extensive experience at Cohen’s Children Medical Center working with adolescents with Eating Disorders. She has been providing individual and group nutrition education and counseling for several years and has a talent for empowering her clients to make behavioral changes. She has the touch to help motivate you to be the best version of yourself.

Counseling Style
Caitlin effectively counsels her clients using an integrative whole person approach to nutrition. In her sessions, Caitlin address all aspects of an individuals life. She provides individualized and science backed recommendations with the main goal of helping her clients live a nutritious, well balanced and sustainable lifestyle. Instead of omitting food groups and living an all or nothing mentality. Caitlin helps her clients focus on what they can add to their plate to bring back joy in eating and create realistic, nourishing and satisfying meals.

Hobbies/Interest
On Caitlin’s free time, you will likely catch her spending time being active such as exploring walking trails on Long Island with her dog or working out. She additionally works as a personal trainer and teaches group fitness classes such as Barre and Mat Pilates. She also loves to cook and bake and is often times in the kitchen trying out new recipes to share with her loved ones.
